Shelving It In Style with Drugeot Labo Storage Systems

Irwin Weiner ASID - I'm on my handmade high horse once again. I admire furniture that speaks fluent handmade. With French design and manufacturing firm Drugeot Labo, I've found some wonderful storage resources that are flexible and bespoke looking, thanks to the designs of Pierre Rochepeau. Pictured above: Kao Shelving Triple, Kao Shelving Single, Bric à Brac Shelving, and 3 Mats Shelving.

Also look to Drugeot Labo for innovative coffee and end tables, like the lovely whirling dirvish Toupie side tables (above), beautiful top-like creations crafted from limewood and steel. But back to shelving systems - I'm also in love with Bibliofleur, a whimsical take on bookshelves supported by modern white flower bases (see photos below).

Irwin Weiner ASID - The allure of Old Hollywood royalty beckons us as we invite you on this video tour of the renovated art deco Hudson Apartments of Hollywood, CA. Yes, Charlie Chaplin and other greats really did live here, and we get to take a peek inside. 

Do you like apartment living? We love its convenience - doorman building, lots of nice neighbors, and no upkeep on our part (alright, we have to tidy up after ourselves, but no cutting the grass). The challenge is oftentimes space and how to make the most with the least amount of it, but this video shows a nifty storage solution. Love that rotating closet door with behind-door storage!

The Ultimate Folding Chair

But this is not your mother's Samsonite folding chair to be pulled up to a card table! It's a chair unlike what you've seen before. The company's name is synonymous with change, and it also combines "flexible" and "luxury." Clever concept in seating, extremely portable, and flexible for both indoor and outdoor use. Watch the video to see how the Flux Chair assembles - and watch the model jump on the chair (I loved that part). Chairs are available in a variety of colors with optional cushions.

It seems like there are a lot of pregnant women walking around the streets of NYC lately, and another boom will leave many families with the task of squeezing the older children together in a single bedroom and clearing out a separate room as the nursery for the new arrival. DadLabs offers sage advice for fathers on all-things parenting, and this how-to video demystifies the process of prepping your living space for a new baby, and I like the three-step process they use: getting rid of clutter; using vertical space to organize; and arrange furniture in a logical fashion.
