Our Beginnings

The Internet Revolution began in February 2005 when YouTube.com launched. Its premise was simple: let anyone join for free and upload and share their video clips. Less than 20 months later, the site sold to Google for $1.65 billion. YouTube has hosted more than 1.73 billion video views, with 100 million video clips seen daily, 65,000 new videos uploaded every 24 hours, and 20+ million monthly visitors.

In November 2006, New York interior designer Irwin Weiner and his partner Jay Johnson took the popularity of watching videos on the Internet and applied it to home design. The idea for Design2Share was born. We've been working with friends and advisors since that time to create an online video library to showcase the do's and don'ts of interior design. We're fascinated with what works, how to make your interiors timeless, the traps people fall into when oftentimes trying do-it-yourself projects, and how to train yourself to look carefully at where you live so you can appreciate beautiful design. We're opinionated and will tell you what we like and don't like, but we're also open minded. We love to hear from our readers and invite a good discussion.

Our Content

We're passionate and opinionated about good home design, and our main blog gives you our daily takes on design, sometimes in video form and other times with text and photos. Go to our navigation bar and you'll find we also have 17 columns, each updated monthly, where we like to mix it up and give you more in-depth looks into home-based topics we're excited about, like design-oriented travel, great recipes to prepare in your kitchen, fine art to hang on your walls, and feng shui homework to tweak your living space and improve your life.

All About Sharing

Do you want a truly beautiful interior? Do you like to look inside other people's homes? Would you like to tap into the experience of design professionals and learn what makes them tick? What would you like to know about interior design, home remodeling, building a new house, designing outdoor spaces, or adding designer touches to your rooms? Let us know and we'll respond quickly to you and post the pictures and text that you share with us in our Share Articles & Photos page.

Our vision is to share the latest and greatest of both traditional and contemporary design, and we invite you to share your favorite "Where I Live" experiences with us and our readers. Our mission will always be to put homeowners first and give you the kind of home design website that you can enjoy each weekday. Become a part of our growing community!

Advertising

To advertise or partner with Design2Share, contact Jessica Martinez at jessica@irwinweinerinteriors.com for rates. We have several advertising options to help expose your home design product or service to our readers, averaging nearly 2,000 uniques per day.

  • D2S Sidebar - right side of screen; run of site
  • Home Page - left side of screen, bottom of blog, home page only
  • Top of Column - top of left side of screen, running on all articles within one of our D2S design columns

Your ad would include an image of your choice (logo, product photo) with embedded link within the image plus an embedded text link within the form of a tip or how-to message to our readers.

Sidebar: The sidebarbar placement is a complete run of our site, showing up on any of the hundreds of pages comprising our site. Placement can be near the Top, Middle, or Bottom positions on the Sidebar.

Home Page: We have a home page advertising section called "Design Solutions" underneath our most current blog posts and near our popular links to our Williams-Sonoma Designer Marketplace posts.

Top of Column: See Budget Blinds photo and "Tip-related ad" at top of our Q&A column as an example of this type of ad placement. Advertiser selects one or more columns (see our navigation bar for our various Design2share Columns and Features) to run the ad on, with the ad appearing at the top of each article within the column.

We offer discounted rates for 6+ month commitments. Payments are all made via PayPal. (Our email address is irwin@design2share.com.) Thank you for considering advertising with us, and please contact Jessica Martinez at jessica@irwinweinerinteriors.com for more information.

Advertising Bonus: We love our advertisers. Please submit articles, stories, trends, interviews, or other features slanted to the Design2Share audience and we will run these materials free of charge. These features should include your product or service photos, your logo, and desired embedded links. The material will become part of our D2S current features and archives, always steering readers to your site.
