Lovely Lantern
We're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.
Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.
This week we're bringing you a Square Arts & Crafts Copper Lantern, from Dean Antiques, located at Core One, The Gas Works, 2 Michael Road in London. Their U.S. location is at Harbor View Center for Antiques, 101 Jefferson Street in Stamford, Connecticut. The lovely verdigris finish on the copper is outstanding from this late 1800s fixture which measures almost 16 inches square by almost 28 inches tall.
You can electrify this beautiful arts & crafts style antique and put it anywhere a lantern would look good, from out by your pool house or at your front door to providing a welcome entry for your guests hanging in your foyer as in the photo below, showing the work of Atlanta architect Hoyte Johnson, with the firm Norman Davenport Askins, who complemented the amazing recycled French townhouse doors with a graceful lantern.
We think our arts & crafts copper lantern would look beautiful in your home, too.
