So Long, Futon!
Gone are the days when it was okay to put your guests on a futon, or even worse, the dreaded airbed. Maybe there are some students still out there who own a futon, and the bad back to match, and we suppose we can let them off . . . but for the rest of you homeowners, it's time to upgrade.
Sofa beds these days are nothing like the ancient put-you-up-sofa-bed your grandparents used to wheel out of the garage for you on school holidays. Move with the times and think about changing your plans for guests; there have never been more ways to make the most of your spare room, and the sleeping arrangements are key.
Increasingly as we demand more and more from our homes, people are choosing sofa beds as a stylish and practical addition to multi-functional living spaces. With a great choice of styles, colors, and sizes out there, you'll be amazed at what a great investment the right choice of sofa bed can be. The mattresses are fantastic as well, so you don’t need to worry about compromising on comfort – your friends and family will get a great night’s sleep.
DESIGN2SHARE TIP2SHARE: When you're designing a room to be used for a number of purposes, make sure you have a clear idea of what you need and plan accordingly. Maybe it’s storage space, or room for a mini home office or computer work station. Is it somewhere to send the kids to watch their TV shows so you can reclaim the living room? Whatever you need, think it through and make sure you make the most of it. Multi-functional really can mean just that, and suddenly the spare bedroom with the endless ironing pile is transformed into the most desirable room in the house.
