Irwin Weiner ASID - I found a resource through the folks at Cool Hunting to help bring any room out of the frump dump. Flavor Paper will customize wonderful retro, vintage-y wallcoverings to suit a client's tastes and they'll handscreen everything to order. It's a great resource, and they even have scratch-and-sniff wallpaper. I'm not kidding!

They may lack the seasoning and experience of professionals who have been at it for years, but the times call for fresh blood and new perspectives. The Pratt Center for Sustainable Design Studies fosters tomorrow's designers with challenging, practical experiences - the green office furniture line collaboration between Pratt and West Elm. Recycled Contemporary Office

Irwin Weiner ASID - Sometimes the greenest way to go when decorating a home or office is to reuse and restore existing materials, e.g. give existing kitchen cabinets new life with a door makeover. The interior design/architecture firm Gummo Amsterdam created an amazing recycled headquarters office using found furniture and flea market and shop finds, cleverly repainting and reupholstering to align with the neutral gray-and-white color scheme. Completely under the spell of the holidays, we found this great video from Kidz With a Kause (another wonderful website) about the origins of having Christmas trees in our homes - a fascinating and fun look at our holiday customs.

Jay Johnson - We're giving out our Wish List of home decor items we'd like to find under the holiday tree this year.

Crate and Barrel has been one of my go-to destinations for holidays gifts for years. Their styling is American Classic, so anything I get there will usually harmonize well with popular taste. I found some items this year that filled me with cheer, and I wanted to immediately put them on my wish list. First: the Bronze Ornament Tree (I've always wanted one) and the Folk Swirl Ball Ornaments (set of three 3-inch diameter cuties). The lounge lizard in me lusts after their Savoy Bar Accessories: Bar Pitcher, Ice Bucket-Cooler, and Avalon Tray (faux crocodile leather with metal handles).
