Paul Evans in the House!
We're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.
Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.
This month we're bringing you an accessible and affordable Signed Paul Evans Sculpted Resin Sideboard. Made from a wood frame with a bronze finish resin, this signed "PE 71" piece is a 1970s icon and a blend of modern, tribal sculpture with utilitarian purpose. It comes to us from the folks at Center 44 at 222 East 44th Street in New York City.
Why would I say this sideboard is affordable? Many Paul Evans works were sculpted in bronze, and a sideboard like the one in the photo at right could sell in the $150,000 range -- or more than 5 to 10 times what our resin sideboard is going for.
We think this sculptural and amazingly functional sideboard would be a great addition to your home decor. For a more in-depth discussion about our sideboard and how this piece ties directly into the trends I've spotted in this year's Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show, see my By George! interview with Design2Share. And visit Bond & Bowery for the item detail page on this sculptural Paul Evans beauty.
