We're Bond & Bowery, a website with the most diverse selection of antiques, design, and fine art in cyberspace. We highlight quality pieces without the clutter of competing ads and excessive editorial content. B & B understands the importance of a valuable acquisition and its contribution to home decoration.
Your B & B Host: I'm George Evans, and I've spent the last 20 years importing and exporting antiques and fine design pieces from Europe. I'm a New York City dealer and I have two showrooms in Lambertville, New Jersey.
This week we're bringing you the amazing Morning Bronze by Paul Manship, offered by Showplace Antique Center, located at 40 West 25 Street in Manhattan. This study, one of four done for the 1939-1940 New York World's Fair, was part of his Moods of Time sculptural collection. They were among the artist's favorite works.
The front of the piece is inscribed with the Morning title and the piece bears the Paul Manship signature and 1938 date. It is 21 inches wide, 14 inches high, and 7.5 inches deep, a lovely iconic sculptural statement for any home. Display your Manship bronze on a coffee table, center table, or against a mirrored wall. This interior view of New York designer Geoffrey Bradfield's town house shows several fantastic ways to display sculptural art.
We think our Paul Manship will look beautiful in your home, too.
