Collectible Zapotec Rugs Preserve Ancient Traditions
Jay Johnson - We recently visited Mesilla, New Mexico, now virtually attached at the hip to Las Cruces, and our eyes were opened to the beautiful rug-making art of the Zapotec people. These rugs were introduced to us by Sheila Arp of Del Sol Stores, and she explained to us about the beautiful rugs that have been coming out of Oaxaca, Mexico for centuries. Visit the Del Sol Stores website for buying information as well as key rug care tips, and watch our video for Sheila's fascinating introduction to these highly collectible works of woven art.

There is a genuine skill used in making these zapotec rugs and the technique is probably passed from father to son,I think the colours and style is really appealing and Ill bet that with minimal effort they will last a lifetime.
