Simple Thanksgiving Decor Ideas
There are many ways to decorate your home for Thanksgiving, but we've narrowed down all the options to a few options that our editors decided we would love to feature in our homes.
Country Living Magazine came out with a fresh, in-depth article with photos on Thanksgiving table settings. Each idea they present gets a big thumbs up from us. We particularly loved the simplicity of putting fall leaves, berries, fruits, or other items in a hurricane. Buy tons of hurricanes for both outdoor and indoor decorating. Purchase non-scented pillar candles in colors that harmonize with your tabletop and room decor themes. Add those touches of nature that bring the outdoors in. When candlelight lights up the fall leaves, it's magical.
Our beloved Martha Stewart is on a serious glitter kick, and we're all in favor of adding her brand of sparkle to home decor. She loves nature, but just has to tweak it and luxe it up a bit. Follow her easy Glittered Corn craft steps to achieve a sparkling Martha touch to your table.
Better TV gives us a few tabletop tips in the following video, but for us, the Thanksgiving takeaway was the way to fold napkins so that they form a handy pocket - like in fine restaurants - where you can tuck in the silverware. You can also tuck in decorative flowers and fall berries like bittersweet as well as a namecard to subtly mark everyone's place setting without taking up precious table space.
Finally, for Thanksgiving decor oozing with style, we recommend the French Garden House and their Matthew Meade styled table settings and decor. The long, upside-down zinc box in the center of the table elevates the setting and allows the squash-colored calm tones to dominate the room theme. Simply wonderful.
