Their business is a combination of high-end Old World woodworking and craftsmanship, a mash-up of contemporary styles, and custom finishes (colors, textures, lacquers, etc.).

Irwin Weiner ASID - I remember the first time I learned about the Pre-Raphaelite movement, I thought of it as a hippie reaction to the rigidity of Victorian times. Bohemian lifestyles, everything adorned and decorated by hand, exotic flourishes in all art forms, romance and classical stylings, and existence akin to settling down flat on your back in a field of wildflowers and watching the clouds go by. Anthropologie wants to bring back those Pre-Raphaelite days, and they would have you add "painterly" and artistic flourishes to your home, to soften up the rigidity of your decor. Gardening Video - Tips for Gardening in Small Spaces

Irwin Weiner ASID - We bought metal planters from Portugal at a Bucks County archetectural salvage store, filled them up with potting soil, and have been planting herbs and veggies on our patio for the past few years. Every so often we'll throw in handfuls of Dr. Earth organic fertilizer to keep nutrients chugging along in each planter (these closed eco systems need boosts on a regular basis). And the results have been rewarding. Last year we planted rainbow chard and purple basil along with other herbs - chives to Italian parsley.

This year we're planting green zebra and cherokee heirloom tomatoes, lemon thyme, nasturtium, rosemary, basil, parsley, and tarragon ... sticking to a great salad theme. Today's featured video will help bring out the gardener in you. Even if you don't have a large yard, e.g., you live in a small urban apartment, you can still garden in a small space and have a manageable time of it. We're all busy adults, so let's follow tips for making life and leisure time easier and more productive. Irwin Weiner ASID - There's no contest that interior designer Amy Lau is at the top of our profession. Her skills and design sense are unparalleled. And that's why I think it's wonderful that Corcoran Realty teamed up with 1stDibs and several top designers to videotape luxury property tours, showcasing reactions from top decorators like Amy.

It promotes the real estate inventory in the City - yes, that's a given - but it also gives us the guilty pleasure of walking through these hallowed, prestige spaces guided by designers who know what's good when they see it. Amy tells us what she loves about this apartment in the prestige Richard Meier complex at 165 Charles Street. This property has already sold, but who cares?
