Global Furniture Showcase

This video goes into the incredible Shanghai Design Center to interview the center's CEO and several leading European design houses to get their take on how well traditional Chinese furniture goes with contemporary European designs. Emphasis is placed on the "architecture" of furniture being important, stressing that good lines in furniture of all types make for good companions when decorating the same room. It's possible to take a local vernacular style and wed it with clean, shapely contemporary furnishings to create a rich effect.

My sister in law actually painted her headboard when everyone was telling her not to and it came out great! It actually made the wall behind the head board pop more as well. :-)
