This Design2Share online collectible find is a Comedia Chair by designer Christian Germanaz. 

Details

  • Made in 1982
  • Foam over metal frame construction
  • Seasonal/interchangeable slipcover in bright red
  • 29 inches tall x 35 inches deep x 40 inches wide

Verdict

While the designer is new to us, it's obvious that he was brimming with talent and humor. The chair passes the basic comfort test with flying colors. It's a good sit.

The sumptuous multitudes of pleats and folds in the chair's slipcover is stunning. It makes a sculptural statement with fire engine red fabric. One interior designer told us that this chair reminds him of a bright red shar pei dog (the breed with the multitude of folds and wrinkles).
