Free Chair Experiment on Streets of New York City
Irwin Weiner ASID - I love the streets of New York City because you can find practically anything you want - for free - resting by the curb. It's true! I've found great works of art (well, if they're free and don't hurt your eyes, they semi-qualify as "great"), solid pieces of furniture, and decorative objects. Avoid, of course, picking up free upholstered furniture pieces or bedding - bed bugs, anyone? But our editorial team at D2S was really drawn to this video on the Minneapolis based Blu Dot Real Good Chair experiment (about two years ago). What would happen if their iconic metal chairs were left on our city streets, then built-in GPS systems tracked them to their new owners? It's a great video. Enjoy!
