Is is just us, or is everyone on HGTV perky, happy, bouncy, and fresh? That's why it's a real guilty pleasure for us to look at their many home design programs. It's good to get inspiration from someone who's really feeling psyched about tackling a home project. Hopefully their enthusiasm will rub off on the rest of us.

In this video, you'll find a home organizing expert who has some quick tips on how to make use of unused kitchen storage space, like hanging a magnetic strip (photo above) under shelves to get knives out of valuable drawer space.

Congratulations to the ASID New York Metro Chapter for hosting a fantastic Imagine University and NY Design Walk week in September. We videotaped two CT design school grads, and we know that they're typical of many college grads who are a bit intimidated by the "big world out there" when they graduate. Seaside Apartment

We're still not ready to let summer go, so we thought we'd try to bring it back by showing a video we took a few years ago in Cape Town, South Africa. Our friend's small seaside apartment is minimalist and clean, with white marble floors and black leather modernist furniture. And then there are the incredible views of the oceanfront, the swimming pools, the palm trees . . . bah-humbug, it's autumn here in the States!
