Wall of Glass
This living room view shows the client's love of art, collectibles, and textured furnishings. The wall of contemporary glass was commissioned for the space from an Eastern U.S. glass expert often called upon to repair Tiffany glass. Art glass, based on a Mondrian design, is backed by safety glass, and custom metalwork frames each panel beautifully. Entering the home from the front hallway on the opposite side of this glass wall is a special experience. When the sun shines through the glass, it's like a shimmering waterfall. Pure magic. Blue Notes
A pair of blue leather Poltrona Frau chairs face a chaise longue to form an intimate conversation grouping in the living room. The silver metal tree trunk end table adds a note of fun to the composition. Photo by Bruce Buck Photography.

The Art of Dining
Under the warm light of the handblown Venetian chandelier is a traditional/contempo dining table and chairs surrounded by strong visuals, shapes, and colors from the homeowners' art collection. Note the unusual sculptural table legs. The glass side table adds a punchier counterpoint to the wood in the table and chairs. The chic wall color and tailored floor pattern anchor the elements in a soothing whole. Photo by Bruce Buck Photography.

Eat It Up
The open-plan kitchen, the bay-windowed breakfast eat-in area, and den form a wonderful great room for this home. The jelly bean artwork extends the eating theme along with the watermelon carving. Tailored vertical stripes on the wall punch nicely with the bold florals in the sofa and the gray granite kitchen countertops. Clean white custom cabinetry ties in nicely with the wall not shown to the left of the picture, a paneled white oak fireplace mounted by a large plasma screen television. This is the place to hang out, fuel up, talk, and be entertained. Photo by Bruce Buck Photography.

Sitting Spell
This sitting room vignette from the master bedroom oozes comfort and luxury, from the warm throw over the upholstered chair to the great lighting. It makes you want to sit down and pull out the Times or read a good page turner. We love the 1970s mirror edged with rebar, the reinforcing steel material used for poured concrete and masonry. The mixture of the industrial with rich tactile fabrics is a design dream. Photo by Bruce Buck Photography.
