Irwin Weiner ASID - I love California. There's a gross misconception that there's no history in the state, that it's all new strip malls and sprawl. Wrong. We found a video of a San Diego home renovation that proves that historic neighborhoods exist in this great state. Marrokal Design shows us a few examples of their renovations in the in-transition historic North Park neighborhood of San Diego. We like the new designs, featuring respect for the past, the use of historic or period accessories and materials, but with a modern sense of space and room purpose - or in the case of one renovation, porch purpose!
